Gestern fand das letzte Gruppenspiel gegen Schottland statt. Wir waren aufgepumpt, bereit und wussten, was wir tun mussten. Das Spiel fang leider nicht so super für uns an. Es wirkte, als ob wir ein bisschen Angst hatten und wir haben mehr als ein paar Fehler gemacht. Schottland führte am Anfang 4-0. Aber wir sind eine gute, harte Mannschaft und haben einer der besten Spielen gespielt, die die Deutschland Damen Lacrosse Mannschaft gespielt hat. Nach dem 11-9 und 12-10 Führung von Schottland, konnten wir uns leider nicht mehr als 2 Tore heranarbeiten und das Spiel ging 14-10 für Schottland aus.
Yesterday was our last game in group play and we went up against Scotland. We were pumped up, ready to go, and knew what we had to do. Unfortunately, we didn’t start the game off on the right foot. It seemed as if we were a little scared of them, and we made more than a few mistakes. Scotland took an early 4-0 lead. But we’re a good, strong team and played one of the best games the German Women’s Lacrosse team has ever played. After a long run and steady defense, we had the game at 11-9 and 12-10 but we couldn’t seem to get within more than 2 goals. The final score was 14-10 for Scotland.
Wir sind aber sehr stolz auf unsere Arbeit und jetzt, dass wir in Schwung gekommen sind, hoffen wir es weiter so zu machen. Heute geht es um 17:30 (23:30 deutsche Zeit) los gegen Haudenosaunee, alias die Ureinwohner/Indianer.
